United in YES for 2030! Applications Announced
United Fund of Globe-Miami announces a unique opportunity for our current nonprofit agencies to Unite in YES for 2030!
This initiative invites our funded nonprofit agencies to develop collaborative, visionary projects that will expand their impact and serve the community well into the new decade. Agencies are encouraged to partner with other local non-profits, businesses, schools, individuals and community organizations to enhance their reach and strengthen their programs.
By working together, our agencies can take on transformative projects that foster lasting change and build a stronger Globe-Miami.

Applicants should consider the following when developing their proposals:
- Serving Our Community:
- Must directly benefit residents of Globe-Miami
- Must not duplicate or detract from existing programs
- Key Community Needs:
- Active Youth
- Education & Literacy
- Food Security
- Health, Wellness & Safety (including Safe Environments)
- Strong Community
- Sustainability:
- Each United in YES for 2030 funding request should be for no less than $150,000.
- Total funding will be determined after all project applications are evaluated.
- This opportunity is for a one-time significant investment in a program or project that may take up to five years to implement and come to fruition, but will serve the Globe-Miami community and its residents well.

1. What is the United in YES for 2030! opportunity? The United Fund of Globe-Miami invites our current nonprofit agencies to propose visionary, collaborative projects that will benefit our community through 2030. This is an opportunity to dream big, expand your impact, and develop projects that foster strong partnerships and create lasting change in Globe-Miami. Together, let's say “YES” to bold ideas and make a meaningful impact!
2. Who can apply? This opportunity is exclusively for our current 2025 United Fund recipient agencies. Each proposal must include at least one United Fund agency as a key collaborator. Agencies are encouraged to partner with other local non-profits, businesses, schools, residents and community organizations to strengthen their project’s reach and effectiveness.
3. Do I need to be part of an organization to submit an idea? Individuals are welcome to contribute ideas and collaborate, but all applications must be submitted by a current United Fund agency. Successful projects will be those that demonstrate strong partnerships and a sustainable, meaningful impact on the Globe-Miami community.
4. How developed does my idea need to be?
You don’t need a fully detailed plan yet. We’re looking for strong ideas with clear goals, potential collaborators, and a vision for how your project will benefit the community. If you need assistance with your application, we’re here to help! Feel free to reach out for guidance on refining your idea, identifying potential partners, or completing your proposal.
5. Is this a grant competition?
Not exactly. Funding is not guaranteed for any project. Multiple projects may be supported, but each proposal will be evaluated independently on its own merits, not in competition with others.
6. Can I submit more than one idea?
Yes, but we encourage applicants to focus on quality over quantity. A well-thought-out proposal with strong community impact is more valuable than multiple incomplete ideas.
7. What types of projects are most likely to be funded?
We’re looking for projects that:
- Address key community needs (such as youth engagement, education, food security, health and wellness, and community strength).
- Involve collaboration, including at least one United Fund recipient agency.
- Have a long-term impact, serving Globe-Miami through 2030.
- Do not duplicate or detract from existing programs.
8. How much funding is available?
Each United in YES for 2030 funding request must be at least $150,000, with total funding determined after all applications are evaluated. This is a one-time investment in a program or project that may take up to five years to implement but will create a lasting impact on the Globe-Miami community and its residents.
9. What happens after I submit my idea?
Every proposal will be carefully reviewed, and we will:
- Identify projects that could be connected with additional resources or partners.
- Determine which projects may be eligible for funding.
- Provide guidance on projects that may need further development.
- Offer feedback to applicants, even if their proposal isn’t selected at this time.
Regardless of the outcome, your effort and ideas matter, and we value your contribution to building a stronger Globe-Miami!
10. What if my project isn’t selected for funding?
Even if we’re unable to fund your project directly, we’ll review every idea with care and provide feedback. Some projects may be a better fit for future opportunities, partnerships, or additional resources we can help connect you with.
11. When will grant recipients be announced?
The announcement date has not yet been determined. We will update all applicants as soon as a timeline is established.
12. How do I apply?
